The Christmas Train 2011

Because of my poor planning -- I missed out on purchasing tickets for The Christmas Train this year and I thought for sure what are the odds that I can still find tickets so close to Christmas. If your a local then you know exactly what I am talking about. The tickets sell out QUICK! The Christmas Train is a great event hosted by a local church in town and is located in Dry Gulch USA, Oklahoma. Who knew there was a blessing waiting to occur! I mention to a friend if they knew of anyone wanting to get rid of their tickets to please let me know and I guess the saying goes-- ask and you shall receive because we were able to get tickets and take the boys to their first experience at the The Christmas Train!

Christmas Gathering 2011

Last Friday night I was lucky enough to get a ticket to the sold out event "The Christmas Gathering" hosted at The Church at Battlecreek. I heard great things about this event and I knew I had to go and it did not disappoint! It was a great evening that started off with a Holiday Shop that was set up with great Christmas gifts, decor, etc. After you shop, there was a light dinner that was served and it was delish then came the presentation! This year, I was able to meet Ashley Ann Campbell. I have been following her blog for awhile now and was super excited to finally get to meet her! If you dont know who she is, you need too! We also got to learn what HOT items are popular right now and then the night ended with some great ideas and tips on holiday entertaining. Last Saturday I spent my evening at The Vintage Pearl 2nd Annual Holiday Open House. The store was overflowing with people shopping, mingling , and have a great time. As most of my followers on this blog know, I took a break from my Etsy shop and the blog world because I was pregnant with my second child. I was sick alot in the first trimester and literally had no energy for anything. Well, quite some time has passed now and I would like to introduce everyone to the newest addition to my family, meet baby Tyler! I am totally smitten!

I do! It's hard to believe that Christmas is a mere 34 days away from now. Normally, I would already have my christmas cards purchased and ready for mailing the day after Thanksgiving but this year was a little different with the new addition to our family. The new baby has kept me extremely busy. I recently purchase the baby's birth annoucments from Shutterfly and was very please with the whole ordering and shipping process. It seemed like I placed my order and within no time, my orange package was waiting on my doorstep and with that in mind, I knew exactly who I wanted to order my Christmas cards from. oh etsy..how I have missed you!

The old me used to breathe, eat, and sleep etsy and I LOVED it but if you don't know already, we are expecting our 2nd child ( it's another boy ) and my energy level went from 100 to negative 10 and I had to close the shop for quite some time because I could not keep up with my orders since I was a one woman show. I am about 6 months along now and been feeling alot better for alittle while now but have been so busy with work and life in general that I have put reopening the shop on the way back burner but I am now ready to reopen my shop with LOTS of new goodies for a little bit before baby # 2 is born in October so look towards a Lollielicious Designs reopening SOON! =)

Today I spent the afternoon getting pampered for a great cause. The Little Giants Foundation hosted a wonderful fundraiser at Ihloff Salon to get yourself pampered from head to toe and all the proceeds went to the Little Giants Foundation to help find a cure for rare dwarfism research.

Along with all the services offered, there were several great silent auction items up for bid including your very own, Lollielicious Designs! A wonderful sunday afternoon well spent.

Tulsa's FIRST Etsy Craft Party!

It was like Christmas when I opened my package! There is so much detail and cuteness in the packaging alone that I knew I was going to be BLOWN away with what was inside!!

What a bargain!

I've had my eye on this amazing Making Memories Storage Desktop Carousel for quite some time but didn't think I needed to pay $40.00 for it but during a routine Michael's visit, and when I say routine, I am literally always there and as I was checking out, I looked over at the bargain bin and saw my carousel but I thought, surely it wouldn't be on sale but as I walked closer with excitement. There before my eyes, my storage unit was marked down from $40.00 to $9.99! I was thrilled! The only thing wrong was that there was a little paint missing on one of the sides which you can barley tell. I was SO happy to bring this baby home!!
